Violetta Vaitsi

MD PHD Obstetrician – Gynecologist

She started her medical specialisation with a four-year study in Surgery and a semester in Intensive Care Unit in Achillopoulio General Hospital of Volos.  She completed her training with a four-year specialisation in Obstetrics – Gynecology in AUTH’s  2nd Department Obstetric-Gynecology Clinic giving the knowledge of the whole obstetrics’ and Gynecology’s spectrum, as well as of the special sections of: Colposcopy, Cervical Pathology, Gynaecological Oncology, Menopause, High Risk Pregnancy and Prenatal Diagnosis.

Ιn 2002 she completed her medical specialisation and was entitled Obstetrician Gynecologist. Since the entitlement she has gone into private practice and she is an external collaborator of Private Hospitals in Thessaloniki.

She has been licensed to perform ultrasounds by the Central Board of Health since 2003.

In 2013 she received her doctorate after the presentation of the doctoral dissertation (PhD thesis) Comparative study of endometrial imaging and cytologic evaluation in perimenopause for the timely diagnosis of endometrial cancer”, which is concentrated in the early diagnosis of endometrial cancer.

From 2002 to 2011 she was a Research Fellow of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki for the 2nd, 1st, 4th Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Hippocration General Hospital of Thessaloniki and Papageorgiou Hospital in Thessaloniki

From 2016  to 2018 she worked in 2nd Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki  as an Academic Research and Clinical Fellow

During her service as an Academic Fellow 2016 – 2018 as well as during her service as a Scientific Research Fellow 2002 – 2011 she participated in the undergraduate educational work of the University Clinics in which she served.

She participated in the training of medical students, doctors and midwives.

She has been an instructor and professor in Public Institute of Vocational Training, ΜΤΕ Nursing School and Greek Red Cross volunteers.
